You can hear it got a little tense early on.
Audio is released from San Francisco's four alarm fire earlier this week. It is a bit difficult to understand, but you can get the gist that something unexpected (i.e. ventilation induced fire behavior) had occured. Various reports from both fire and general media have called it a "backdraft", "smoke explosion" or "flashover".
